Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year
We're SO excited to welcome our newest Pumas to Colin Powell Elementary School! Kindergarten Registration for the 2021 - 2022 school year has begun. Children must be 5 years of age by September 30, 2021 to qualify for enrollment.

AAP Spring Screening (Levels II-III) is Here!
Screening for school-based services can happen at any time during the school year but is done school-wide in the Spring to determine services for the next school year. Parents or guardians may submit a school-based (level II-III) AAP Form via email to Kathleen Bach, AART, at Colin Powell ES by 4:15pm on April 30th.

No-Cost Meals for All FCPS Students through June 30, 2021
Grab and Go meal sites are open 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Meal Kits sites distribute each Monday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., or until supplies are exhausted. Buses distributing meals are operating Monday through Friday. Meals will be available at no-cost Monday-Friday at all schools with in-person instruction. Specific information about meal distribution locations and bus distribution schedules are available.
Spanish-Language Town Hall (Virtual)
Join Superintendent Brabrand and two school officials for a virtual Spanish-Language Town Hall on Wednesday, April 21, 5-6 p.m. They will provide information on opportunities for four days of in-person instruction; summer learning plans, and vaccine updates. They will answer your questions, too. The Town Hall will be streamed live on FCPS Facebook en Español. Please email your questions to ReturntoSchool@fcps.edu. You may also send us a message on our Facebook page or leave it in the “Comment” section during the Town Hall. We hope you will join us!
Parent Technology Help Desk
To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, Fairfax County Public Schools now has a Parent Technology Help Desk. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team.
